I've been thinking a lot about this comment and about Patrick's presentation at DevCon.  So Patrick's comment really resonates, thinking about the recent mandate by the powers that be that I become a Java developer again.  I've been sitting in meetings listening to debates about Java design patterns vs. C# patterns, Apache vs. IIS vs. Weblogic, VS.Net vs. WebSphere Application Developer vs.  JBuilder... it's pretty depressing.  Why is this so hard?
