I saw that the Reader's Digest August 2005 print issue had a little blurb (page 172 in the normal-print edition) on RSS
Call it a more efficient Internet. The RSS (Really Simple Syndication) format collects and syndicates information from millions of sites so we can get customized feeds of news, commentary, reviews, even job postings.
The also mention RSS in a longer article ("Me, me Media") on the trend towards customizable media outlets. I don't know if the fact that RD has latched onto RSS is encouraging or scary.
