Xooglers
via John Wiseman, I ran into Xooglers, a collaboration between Ron Garrett (aka Erann Gat) and Doug Edwards. I'm really enjoying it, especially Ron's posts on his role in AdSense and his first day. The former is notable for his admission of some of the errors he made with the AdSense billing system - it's refreshing to see an engineer own up to serious mistakes. Everybody has them, but they're difficult to talk about. The latter post really stands out because Ron gets into the problems with stock options. I had no idea about the AMT implications. Ron is fairly well known in the Lisp community; I had no idea he ever worked at Google, though.
