Five Years Gone
I've been working on porting my old Radio weblog entries, as well as the old entries from eighty-twenty over to my new hosting at TextDrive... well, not new, I've just not been using it for much more than parking a page for a couple years. I'm going to restore the old archives into a baked (as opposed to fried) format, just for posterity... and hopefully to at least partially fix the link rot I've induced over multiple weblog moves over the years... Radio to pyBlosxom to homegrown to .Text, to something else still TBD.
While messing around with the Radio export today, I realized that I passed an anniversary - just over five years ago, I started blogging - mostly inspired by Chris Sells' DevCon. I started reading weblogs by Sam Ruby, Steve Loughran, and Patrick Logan following that conference, and I still read them today. For posterity, my subscription list from a bit over 4 years ago, frozen in time. Surprisingly, more than half those weblogs are still in my aggregator today - probably at different URLs, but the same people behind them.
