Black Tuesday

As I was signing up for benefits tonight, the following thought occurred to me: building a site for benefits signup has to be the worst possible project, ever. You’re building a site that’s going to be used once a year, by people already stressed out about the cost of healthcare. Most people won’t even look at the site until hours before the deadline, probably after regular working hours. It’s the HR version of Black Friday: all the actions in a few hours one evening, and then nothing for another year.
Fortunately, my taxes were filed over a month ago, or I’d really be needing a couple drinks right now.
