TextPattern and WordPress

I’ve been using TextPattern for almost 5 months now. I’m still not entirely sold on it; it appears to be simple at first glance, but then once you install it, you’re greeted with this enormous tabbed admin interface. I’m a big fan of simplicity, but blosxom is probably too simple for my taste. TextPattern is a bit too much toward the other direction, however. At this point, inertia is setting in and I don’t have a really compelling reason to change.
On the other hand, the other option was WordPress. I was willing to dismiss Jeff Atwood’s comments as an isolated case, but when ERH starts slamming the WP developers you really have to wonder about WordPress.
